Matt's RV Roofing LLC has one main focus, RV roofs. This means the workmanship performed is done by a trade specialist. The skills and focus are with making your roof maintenance free and last. A roof done right protects the insides of your camper and all of its belongings. Don't use just anybody when choosing your RV Roofing shop. Choosing Matt's RV Roofing, LLC means you are choosing to have your roof worked on by someone with 25 years of roofing experience who has seen it all and fixed it all and whose reputation means everything.
I have been a commercial and residential roofer for over 25 years and an RV owner for 10. In the field I have done million dollar roofs and received awards for my accomplishments. I am very knowledgeable on what types of materials work and which are inferior. Many RV manufacturers put on roofs that are comparable to “builders carpet.” Builder’s carpet will get you by for a few years but over time the wear and tear becomes noticeable. On a camper roof, the wear and tear can lead to leaks, deterioration and cracks. Using superior products that are high grade and high quality like the ones used at Matt’s RV Roofing, L.L.C. will keep your roof leak free and intact.
Once your RV is at the shop I will go over every inch of the roof. I will be using high quality commercial grade products, the same materials that are used on commercial buildings because of the immeasurable quality and reliability through all types of weather. The product used is a 60 mil white EPDM material which provides incredible resilience, flexibility and durability. The mesh structure provides elasticity and resistance to aging. Most manufactures use 25-35 mil which is about half the thickness of what I would use on your RV. Double the thickness means double the protection for wear and tear. Another perk of EPDM is that it does not require any UV resistance coatings like the other products do. To maintain this superior product you will just need to wash with soap and water instead of spending hundreds of dollars to maintain the "other guys" products.
With a full roof installation, all trim and gutters along the RV will be removed as well as removal of skylights, pipes, vents and air conditioners. This will allow for the full removal of the existing roof. I will inspect for any deteriorating plywood and replace sheets if needed then will fully bond down new EPDM roofing to the plywood. New pipe flashings will be installed as needed as well as re-flashing skylights, or if required, install new skylights. Lastly, all of the metal trim and gutters will be reinstalled to complete the roof installation.
100% Silicone roof coating will be applied to the entire roof. The purpose of applying silicone roofing is to protect it from the elements of the weather. When the sun beats down on the roof it causes the roofing material to breakdown and deteriorate. Weather coating provides a protective layer which makes the roof last 5-7 years longer. The product used is commercial grade and is a superior product to others sold .
When performing a roof repair, the first step that will be done is to walk the entire roof and look for any tears, rips or holes in the existing roof. Once the roof is examined and deficiencies are found the items will be repaired using the appropriate material based on the type of roof being worked on.
UV protection coating is a way to rejuvenate the roof material and helps to extend the life of the roof. The RV roofing manufacturers highly recommend this procedure which is beneficial for protecting the roof against sun damage which can result in deterioration of the roofing material.
A roof re-seal consists of re-sealing pipe flashings, skylights, vents and termination bar at front cap and rear cap. Re-sealing the roof eliminates potential leaks and is recommended to be done on a yearly basis.
The pictures below show some of the repairs that were done. As you can see on the "before pictures" these manufacturers do the bare minimum by only using caulk when sealing around vents and skylights and don't take pride in their work which is verified by the sloppy looking roof. When minimal caulking is done, that leaves the opportunity for leaks to occur. Matt's RV Roofing, LLC seals in the pipes and vents with flashing without relying just on caulk alone. In doing so, there is much less opportunity for the area to leak and cause damage to your home away from home.

Matt’s RV Roofing, LLC will offer warranties on new EPDM roof installations and silicone coating applications. A new EPDM roof installation can have a 7 year warranty if the proper procedure is taken by the customer. There is an automatic one year warranty that starts the day the RV roof work is done and the completion paperwork is signed by the customer. An additional 6 year warranty will be provided to the customer if the customer brings back the RV for a free yearly inspection for 6 consecutive years once the automatic 1 year warranty runs out.
A “Silicone Roof Coating” can have a 4 year warranty if the proper procedure is taken by the customer. The “Silicone Roof Coating” will have an automatic one year warranty starting from the date the RV roof work is done and the completion paperwork is signed by the customer. An additional three year warranty is provided for the three consecutive years following the automatic one year warranty if the customer brings the RV back into the shop for a free yearly inspection.
